We are excited to announce that Avenue has been selected as one of five winners chosen for the 2018 Jack Kemp Excellence in Affordable and Workforce Housing Award given by the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Terwilliger Center for Housing.

Members of the ULI Jack Kemp Housing Awards Jury are selected nationally to achieve regional balance and represent several facets of development expertise, including finance, architecture, land planning and development, public affairs, design, and professional services.

The awards return with regional programs opening for submissions in 2020. Juries will select Regional and Global Awards winners in 2021. Winners of regional awards will move on to the Global Awards. Projects must enter at the regional level ULI Career Opportunities Leadership & Governance Advertising & Sponsorship ULI Career Opportunities Leadership & Governance Advertising & Sponsorship ULI established the Jack Kemp Excellence in Affordable and Workforce Housing Award in 2008 to show the critical role that housing plays in achieving economic prosperity and a high quality of life, both for individuals and communities.

The following minimum criteria must be met in order for a development to be eligible for the Jack Kemp Awards program: Owner: The owner/developer is a private for-profit or not-for-profit business entity, or housing authority. Location: The development is located in the United States. ULI established the Jack Kemp Excellence in Affordable and Workforce Housing Award in 2008, naming the award in memory of Jack Kemp, former secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development who had served as a Terwilliger Center national advisory board member. WASHINGTON (July 13, 2020) — The ULI Terwilliger Center for Housing has announced 12 finalists for this year’s Jack Kemp Excellence in Affordable and Workforce Housing Award, which honors exemplary developments that ensure housing affordability for people with a range of incomes. We are pleased to announce that The Lindley has been awarded the 2019 Jack Kemp Award for Excellence in Affordable and Workforce Housing.
